Is each location still its own shop?
Yes. Each location keeps its own board, customers, team, stock, settings and invoice numbers. Headquarters is a layer above them, not a merge.
Does everyone need a login per location?
No. One login reaches every location a person is given, and a switcher moves between them and headquarters. On headquarters' People page you decide who reaches which locations, and with what role.
Who can see headquarters?
People with a headquarters role. Admin runs everything, including People. Manager sees every location's figures. Viewer sees the figures and changes nothing.
Can a location charge its own prices?
You decide for each part of the price book. Locked keeps headquarters' only. HQ + local lets a location add its own beside them. Default also lets it change headquarters' prices, and later changes from headquarters leave those alone.
Do locations see each other's customers?
Only once headquarters switches on shared customers and accepts the Customer Sharing Addendum. Then a location can find and use another's customers, while notes, prices and money stay its own. Headquarters can look a customer up at every location either way, without changing them.
What about locations in other countries?
Each location keeps its own currency, tax and time zone. Reports add money up per currency, a location in another currency charges the prices headquarters sets for it there, and transfers run between locations in the same currency.
How is it billed?
As one group: one agreement and one invoice for every location, with a price per location and one for headquarters, monthly or yearly. A person counts as one seat however many locations they work at.
