Plans, trials and billing

What the four plans include, how the trial works and what it needs, and where to change your card, cancel, resume or download a receipt.

Your GarageFlow subscription is managed under Settings → Subscription & Billing. Only the shop owner can see it.

Basic, Growth and Pro have published monthly and yearly prices — a year costs ten months. Enterprise is quoted.

Plan Features on the billing page shows exactly what your own plan includes and how many of your seats are in use, which is more reliable than a table in a help article.

The trial

Signing up starts a 14-day trial of the plan you chose — not a stripped-down version of it. Pick Pro and you trial Pro's seats and Pro's features.

Warning

The trial requires a card. Signup goes through Stripe Checkout, which collects a payment method before the trial starts. You are not charged during the trial, and the first charge is on the day it ends.

The billing page counts the trial down for you, and shows the date it ends and what will be charged when it does.

To stop before you're billed, cancel during the trial. Cancelling is not irreversible — see below.

Changing plan, card or billing cycle

Stripe Portal on the billing page opens Stripe's own billing portal, which is where you change plan, switch between monthly and yearly, and replace your card. It is Stripe's page, so your card details never pass through GarageFlow.

Billing details — the name, company, VAT number and address that appear on your GarageFlow receipts — are edited here rather than in Stripe.

Invoice history lists your past GarageFlow invoices and receipts to download.

Note

Two different things are both called an invoice around here. Your GarageFlow receipts are on this page; the invoices you send your own customers are under Invoices. They never mix.

Cancelling and resuming

Cancel ends the subscription at the end of the period you have already paid for, not immediately. You keep working until then, and a notice appears on the billing page with a Resume button — take it any time before the period ends and nothing was ever interrupted.

What happens when payment fails

Not an immediate cut-off. A failed payment shows a banner with a Fix now link to update your card, and you keep working through the grace period Stripe allows.

Only a subscription that is genuinely cancelled, unpaid or never started blocks access — and even then billing settings stay reachable, so an owner can always get back in and pay. You will never be locked out of the page that lets you fix the problem.

Seats

Your plan sets how many users your shop can have. Reaching the limit shows a seat-limit notice on the billing page; upgrade to add more.

Troubleshooting

"I can't see the billing page." Only the shop owner can. Managers and mechanics don't see it at all.

"I was charged and I thought the trial was free." The trial is free; the day after it ends, the first payment is taken from the card that Stripe collected at signup. Cancel during the trial to avoid it.

"A feature disappeared." Check Plan Features on the billing page — matrices, messaging templates, the customer portal and advanced reports are each on a particular plan and above.

"I cancelled by mistake." Press Resume on the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period, so if you haven't reached it, nothing has been lost.

"Everything returns a payment error." The subscription is cancelled or unpaid. Open billing settings — that route stays open specifically for this — and reactivate.

"I need an invoice with my VAT number on it." Set it under Billing details and future receipts carry it.
